Judge U.W. Clemon Center for Economic and Social Justice
Mission
To create a vibrant ecosystem that fosters innovative thinking, scholarly research, and entrepreneurial ideas that promote systems of economic and social prosperity.
Impact on Social Justice
Through intentional educational programming, we seek to produce social justice change agents who have a sense of their own agency and use it to change their world. We do this through our five impact areas: economics, entrepreneurship, health, leadership, and technology. Through the Center, we hope to continue the charge exposed by the College’s founders as we seek to address the systemic economic and social inequities that have disproportionately disenfranchised groups from underrepresented backgrounds, in particular those people of color.
Vision
To equip our scholars with resources to affect positive change at the social, political, and economic levels.
Goals
To carry out the Center’s mission and vision, we focus our efforts on four main priorities: advocate, educate, engage, and develop. We meet these objectives through our five signature programs.
