Music Intensive

The 2007 Summer
Music Intensive introduces college music study to
high school students from Jefferson County. While
the SMI is offered at no cost to the student, the
program is limited to students who, upon the recommendation
of his or her high school music teacher, will benefit
from private instruction in voice, strings, and piano,
and from classroom instruction in music theory, history,
jazz studies and technology.
Benefits to
students include private music lessons, music theory
and technology classes, supervised private practice
using the SmartMusic computer program, chamber music
rehearsals, public performances and concert attendance.
