Duties:
The Division of Communications at Miles College seeks an Assistant Professor who can teach: Introduction to Mass Communications, News Reporting, Public Relations, Media Law/Ethics, Media Research Methods, and other courses in the Division. Candidates should be able to advise The Milean student newspaper, the Communications Club, and the NABJ chapter. Candidates must have an earned doctorate in mass communications or a related discipline. The Division will also consider ABD candidates. The full-time regular position starts in August 2010.

Miles College is a liberal arts institution that emphasizes teaching. It is affiliated with the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church and enrolls more than 1,700 students. The College is approximately 10 minutes west of downtown Birmingham.
